Until the advent of public use of the internet, for me, finding books and

literature on pet rat care was not easy if not downright impossible.

Most writings dealt with 'lab' rats, and not domestic rats, as I called

them. But I am happy to say that there is now a plethora of information

out there, most of which is good, but one still has to be careful to

weed out what may be dangerous to your rats!

So in keeping with our fellow rat fanciers, this page will be dedicated to

the care and up keep of my rats and to pass on to you, a fellow rat person,

any information or helpful hints on making life for your rat a bit happier,

healthier, and safer!

                      Feeding My Rats

                             1) Eight in One Wild Harvest Parrot Blend
                               --this doesn't contain any of those really tiny seeds!
                             2) Iam's Kitten Formula
                               --for now I mix this with the blend, and will stop when they are older
                             3) Purina One Lamb & Rice dog biscuts
                                --for chewing purposes and added nutrients
                             4) Frozen Broccoli and Peas
