| Now for a second preset.
|
| |
|
|
Do as before up to loading the the blank.q9q. You will find tho, as you become
more familiar with BP that you can start with your favorite preset, and then go
from there to make changes. For now we will do it from scratch.

| |
|
|
Set all the settings as you see in the following figure including loading ff16.bmp
into the Texture and Environment controls.

This is what your preview should resemble.

With this preset you can now experiment with the Lights control and the other controls
we couldn't use with the last preset. For instance, move the bluedots around now
on the lights and watch what they do. Now add some color to the lights by clicking
on the small squares and adding color to those. The following is my preset with
the lights changed to dark lavender.

Move the caustic slider towards the end of the bar and then switch back and forth
on the small square. Do you remember that caustic allows you to control the glassiness
of the preset and the small square switches back and forth between prismatic or
white caustics. The change can be only slightly noticeble depending on the settings
of glassiness.

|
|
After you are done with your experimenting, save the preset, then hit ok. Do to
fonts and ding as we did earlier. See if you like the way it looks as a font or ding.
Also, experitment with other effects on top of BP and put it online to show your results.

Here is a tip. Depending on your preset, if you put the same preset on the selected
area you just did, you can get a whole new wonderful result!! When this is true
of a particular preset, I, (of course you see this coming), will jot it down! Some of
my presets that will be put online will show what they look like applied more than once.

|
The next page will be one more preset for us to make so we can then compare the
difference between the two groups of settings and the difference in outcome.
