| Notice on the left hand side of the window you have a list of controls with slider bars next to them. Manipulating these settings help to create individualized presets. Different settings give you different textures and looks. | |
| Shape: Putting your cursor on shape brings up a graphical list of bevels to give shape to your preset. | |
| Radius: This is the width measured in pixels. Depending on what width you chose, determines what part of the preset will be beveled. | |
| Height: The larger the value, the steeper the bevel appears. Positive values causes the bevel to rise, and negative values causes it to sink. | |
| Smoothness: The larger the value here, the smoother the bevel will appear. | |
| Textures: Positive values makes the texture appear to rise and negative values make it appear to sink in. | |
| Gloss: This controls shininess with zero giving a chalky look and higher numbers make it appear more glossy. | |
| Glare: This is used with Glossy and controls the glossy hightlights. | |
| Reflection: This controls how much reflection there is from the Environment Graphic. Zero is no reflection, with higher numbers increasing the amount of reflection. | |
| Glassiness: This allows the original color of the image become the color of the glass. | |
| Caustic: This controls is used in conjunction with the Glassy control and controls the brightness of the caustic highlight which appears opposite of the light source. The small square next to it lets you choose between prismatic and white caustics. | |
| Iridescence: Determines the strength of iridescent coloration. And Iri color controls the choice of color. When used together, these controls produce the effect that give soap bubbles their color. | |
| Tarnish: This puts dull, matte color in concave parts of the bevel or surface. The small square allows you to change the tarnish color. |
